To prove there really are girls in Hikari's stories... even if a few are, well, dead.
Truth be told, I really rather enjoy drawing females. They're pretty, and that's fun and easy to sketch out for me.
I usually have multiple reasons to complain about and generally bash on the women of most any novel/anime/movie, etc. Because I just can't look up to them... either they're too man-like and slam on the main guy or too whiny and STILL slam on the main guy...
But these ladies are mostly pretty likable (which says a lot...).
Sori: White hair, gold eyes. Falcon's mother (deceased), her memory is pivotal in his life and strongly effects his later choices, though her end is a constant source of pain for a large majority of the cast.
Mikena: Black and white hair, dark blue eyes. Servant to Denonae, she has very strong reasons for the things she does, and a bad attitude to back her. Doesn't mean she's right, but she is an interesting character because of that.
Chei: Black hair, black eyes. Something of a tragic figure, she's deadpan and solemn, but very dedicated to those she loves.
Linta: Yellow/pink hair, pastel pink eyes. Pleasant and sensible, she is uncharacteristically courageous for her kind. She also has a keen intuition.
Niika: Red hair, violet eyes. This lady (also deceased) is the cause of a lot of events within Bonds and the world of B'korba. Her memory also haunts a large (albeit different) portion of the cast.
"Nyway, please enjoy my pretties as much as I did drawing them!
Very nicely done you did do a great job on the anime anatomy so koodo's from an anime drawer wanna-be... I hear you are moving down south? Is there truth to this?
Gosh, now I see I could be misunderstood, sorry xD"
To make the long story short, I've wanted to say that MY boys look actually imho too feminine. I know it's "fashionable" but I don't like it if it's the fruit of MY work. That's why I said it.
Your ones are better than mine, no doubt about it: even they're male or female. And my post was thought to be a piece of admiration.
*maybe now I misunderstood you, if yes, just sorry*
I find that while I am not a fan of the typical female personality flaws, I am a girl at heart in the sense that I like to draw pretty things, and the basic nature of a girl fits pretty so well, I think.
Even a woman's physique is more 'lovely' than 'strong', y'know?
Yeah, I also know that nowadays everything's changing and it's now time for strong women and weaker men xP
C'mon, before the times of suffragists (hope I spell well) men's outfit was more decorative and rich than female dresses, so was with books' characters in general. They were in a centre of attention, and then came the feminists and Coco Chanel. I think that's the clue we still cannot manage with sometimes.
We've touched one of my favourite subjects, so beware if I spam, btw xP
Yes, it's true. I leave on the 2nd for Boise.
Thank you, I'm hoping my men will improve and become just as enjoyable to draw as the ladies are.

There are admittedly some guys I like to draw effeminately, but I sure understand your pain in wanting to make them look more manly.
It's one of those everlasting frustrations for artists, ne?
I just mourn that girls are more fun to draw.... *sigh*
Don't you think that girls are more fun to draw - as you wrote - just because of the culture which said so?

I hear ya! It's like tryin' to tell someone who can't sing, that well, they're never gonna be the Russian Soprano so stop trying...
Such a confused age we live in. *sigh*
